The cabin design philosophy

The G90 cabin is built around a single principle: this is your space. The dashboard runs uninterrupted across the width of the car, with two 12.3-inch displays integrated into a seamless glass panel. The center console is uncluttered, with most controls hidden until needed. The materials are real, and the assembly is precise to a level you don’t see often at this price point.

Genesis calls the design language “Beauty of White Space.” The execution is minimalism without austerity. Compare it to the BMW 7 Series interior (which uses crystal accents and more visual complexity) or the Mercedes S-Class (which leans into traditional luxury cues), and the G90 reads as the quietest, most modern flagship interior in the segment.

Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Audio (E-Supercharger and above)

The Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Audio system in the G90 E-Supercharger and Prestige Black trims uses 23 speakers and over 1,600 watts of total system power, with B&O’s BeoSonic processing. The speaker layout includes ceiling-mounted units for the 3D height channel that’s become a B&O signature.

Three preset modes (Reference, Theater, and Studio) tune the audio character for different content. The Reference mode is most accurate to source material. Theater emphasizes cinematic dialogue and impact. Studio is tuned for music with the focus on the front seats. Active noise cancellation works alongside the audio system to deliver an interior sound floor that’s among the lowest in the segment.

In our experience demoing the system at our Merrillville showroom, buyers consistently identify the B&O setup as one of the deciding factors that moves them from cross-shop into G90 commitment. The system is genuinely outstanding, not just specs-on-paper-good.

Front seat massage, ventilation, and ergonomics

Standard equipment across all G90 trims includes Power-adjustable front seats with massage function. The E-Supercharger and Prestige Black trims add front-seat ventilation alongside heating, plus an upgraded set of massage programs (lumbar, shoulder, full back) and ergo coach. Ergo Coach uses pressure sensors in the seat to suggest adjustments throughout long drives to reduce fatigue.

The driver seat is 22-way power-adjustable on E-Supercharger and Prestige Black. The front-passenger seat is 16-way power-adjustable on the same trims. Seat memory profiles store positions for up to two drivers and link to the key fob, so the car recognizes you when you approach.

Rear-seat experience: where the G90 really separates itself

The rear-seat treatment is where the G90 makes its strongest case in the flagship segment. On the E-Supercharger and Prestige Black, the rear outboard seats include heating, ventilation, massage, and power recline. The right-rear “executive” seat reclines further than the left, with a power-folding leg rest and the relocated front passenger seat moving forward and down to maximize rear-passenger space.

A rear-seat console between the two rear positions includes climate controls, audio controls, and a removable touchscreen for rear-passenger control of comfort and infotainment settings. The rear sunshades are power-operated. The rear-door windows and the rear backlight all have power shades.

For chauffeured use or for rear-passenger-priority buyers in the Northwest Indiana to Chicago corridor, the rear-seat experience is genuinely first-class. We’ve had executives at our Merrillville showroom describe it as “closer to business-class airline than a competing sedan.”

Mood Curator: a unique flagship feature

Mood Curator coordinates multiple cabin systems to create preset environmental experiences. Each preset adjusts ambient lighting color and intensity, audio system character, fragrance dispenser, climate temperature, and seat massage program in unison. Preset modes include presets oriented around relaxation, focus, energy, and theatrical engagement.

It’s the kind of feature that sounds gimmicky on paper and works surprisingly well in person. The fragrance dispenser uses Genesis-developed scents (three options included with the vehicle) that are subtle enough to not feel artificial. Combined with the ambient lighting and audio character changes, the cabin feels meaningfully different across the presets.

Materials and craftsmanship

Standard materials on every trim: Nappa leather seating surfaces, real wood interior trim (open-pore on the standard 3.5T, brushed aluminum or polished metal accents available on higher trims), genuine metal switchgear, and Alcantara headliner on Prestige Black.

The Prestige Black trim’s black ashwood is real wood, sustainably sourced and finished with a low-sheen treatment. It’s not painted plastic, which is a real differentiator at this price point. The quilted semi-aniline leather on Prestige Black uses a tighter quilt pattern than the standard E-Supercharger seats, and the leather itself is a different grade with more visible natural texture.
